Urvann, India's largest online plant nursery, has undergone a significant operational transformation. Since late 2024, the company has moved away from a third-party nursery model to fully embrace its own farms, which became operational by 2026. This strategic pivot addresses recurring customer issues with inconsistent plant quality upon delivery. Founders Sambhav Jain and Akanksha Gupta initiated this change to gain complete control over plant cultivation.
Operating across Delhi NCR and Bengaluru, Urvann now manages 10 acres of farms, housing over 50 lakh plants. These facilities ensure meticulous daily monitoring of plant health by horticulturists. Plants are nurtured from growers across India and select international suppliers, undergoing thorough health checks before dispatch. This ensures that customers receive vibrant, healthy plants.
The company guarantees same-day delivery within two hours for orders placed before 7 PM, utilizing electric vehicles for transport. This farm-first approach has reportedly reduced plant quality complaints. Urvann offers a 48-hour resolution window and a replacement guarantee for any plants delivered in poor condition, reinforcing customer trust and satisfaction.
