Uttar Pradesh's real estate market is witnessing unprecedented expansion, with 143 new residential projects registered in the first six months of 2026. These projects collectively offer 46,049 housing units, attracting an estimated investment of Rs 31,952 crore. This marks a notable increase from the previous year, signaling robust growth.
Gautam Buddh Nagar leads investment with Rs 15,678 crore across 27 projects, while Lucknow registered the highest number of developments with 37 projects. Notably, new developments are diversifying beyond traditional hotspots, with Agra, Mathura, and Varanasi also seeing significant project registrations.
In addition to new supply, UP-RERA has been instrumental in addressing issues for existing homebuyers. The authority facilitated the recovery of Rs 2,173.78 crore in 8,212 cases involving delayed or stalled projects. Dispute resolution mechanisms also successfully handled property disputes worth Rs 6,032.42 crore across 11,558 cases.
