Triumph has launched the Bonneville T40 and T40 Black, extending its classic Bonneville aesthetic to a new 350cc engine platform. These motorcycles integrate traditional design elements with contemporary rider technology, offering a blend of vintage appeal and modern functionality.
The heart of the new models is a liquid-cooled 350cc single-cylinder TR Series engine. Specifically tuned for the Bonneville, it delivers 29bhp and 31.2Nm of torque, emphasizing stronger low-end pull and a smooth power delivery for a relaxed riding experience.
These bikes boast a suite of rider aids, including Road, Rain, and Eco riding modes, alongside customizable settings. Features like cruise control, lean-sensitive cornering ABS, and cornering traction control enhance safety and rider confidence across varied conditions.
The T40 and T40 Black showcase classic Bonneville proportions, including a teardrop fuel tank, round LED headlamp, and spoked wheels. The T40 offers distinctive two-tone color schemes, while the T40 Black adopts a stealthier, all-black aesthetic.
Despite its retro look, the T40 incorporates a 4-inch full-color TFT display. This unit supports smartphone connectivity, music and call controls, and full map navigation. Riders can even select a Heritage Mode for an analogue-style display appearance.
Designed for approachability, the Bonneville T40 features an upright riding position and a low seat height. These motorcycles are A2 licence-compliant and come with a 10,000-mile service interval, making them accessible to a wider range of riders.
