10 Aug
Summary
- Titan's Q1 consolidated net profit soared 63% year-on-year to Rs 1,777 crore.
- Jewellery business revenue grew 43% year-on-year, excluding bullion sales.
- Brokerages largely remain positive, with some raising target prices for Titan.

Titan Company shares experienced a significant rally, surging nearly 3% and reaching a 52-week high. This upward movement followed the company's robust first-quarter performance, which has been met with largely positive reactions from financial analysts.
The company reported a substantial 63% year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit for the June quarter, reaching Rs 1,777 crore. Total income also saw a healthy rise of 40% year-on-year, amounting to Rs 20,753 crore.
The jewellery business, spearheaded by brands like Tanishq, emerged as the primary growth engine. Revenue from this segment grew by an impressive 43% year-on-year, excluding bullion and digital gold sales. This performance was bolstered by festive purchases and a stable gold price environment.
Brokerages have largely maintained positive ratings for Titan. Citi and Motilal Oswal, for instance, have retained their Buy ratings, with the latter forecasting an 18% sales CAGR over FY26-28. However, Nuvama has downgraded the stock to Hold, citing recent sharp gains and rich valuations.
Analysts suggest that while fresh buying at current levels might require caution due to valuations, long-term investors can still find potential upside. Existing shareholders are advised to Hold, with staggered buying on dips recommended for new investors.
