- FCDA to be the nodal office for all approvals, creating a single-window system
- Bharat Future City to be country's first net zero smart city with focus on life sciences, AI, green industries

As of September 29th, 2025, the Telangana government is actively pursuing partnerships with international funding agencies such as the World Bank and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) to develop the ambitious Bharat Future City project. This transformative initiative aims to establish Telangana as a leading innovation and investment hub.
The Bharat Future City is being established with the primary objective of generating substantial employment opportunities and reducing the population pressure on Hyderabad. Interestingly, the state government has taken a minimal role, focusing on removing hurdles and providing faster approvals. The Future City Development Authority (FCDA) office, which was recently inaugurated by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, will serve as the nodal office for all permissions, including building, layouts, and industrial clearances, effectively creating a single-window system for approvals without delays.
The FCDA has been entrusted with the development of Bharat Future City and will be responsible for creating new economic hubs by providing world-class infrastructure to generate employment opportunities. The proposed city is set to be the country's first net zero smart city, encompassing industries, schools, hospitals, parks, and shopping centers in one zone, embodying the "live, learn, work and play" concept. The key focus areas include life sciences, education, healthcare, Artificial Intelligence, electric vehicles, electronics, knowledge-based industries, and green industries, as well as recreational and ecotourism activities.
