Tata Motors is launching the highly anticipated 2025 Sierra SUV in India today, reviving a beloved nameplate. The initial release focuses on internal combustion engine (ICE) variants, with an all-electric version planned for future release. This new iteration pays homage to its predecessor's iconic design, featuring modern styling cues such as a connected LED light bar and a silhouette reminiscent of the original Alpine window. Premium touches like flush door handles and 19-inch alloys enhance its contemporary appeal.
The interior of the 2025 Sierra is a significant departure, boasting a futuristic and tech-centric cabin. It features a dual-tone black and grey theme dominated by three digital screens: a driver display and two integrated infotainment units. The steering wheel, inspired by the Curvv concept, includes an illuminated Tata logo and touch-based controls. Key features like a panoramic sunroof and advanced connectivity options are expected, promising a refined user experience.
Under the hood, the Sierra is anticipated to be powered by Tata's new 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine, capable of producing approximately 170 hp and 280 Nm of torque, available with manual and automatic transmissions. A naturally aspirated petrol engine and a diesel option may also be introduced to cater to a wider market segment. Dealerships are already gauging customer interest, with formal bookings expected to open post-launch.
