Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles has announced that the much-anticipated Tata Punch Facelift will be launched on January 13. This refreshed compact SUV is expected to adopt design elements seen in the existing Punch EV, including a distinctive closed-off front grille and revised headlamp housings. These visual updates aim to enhance the vehicle's appeal in a competitive segment.
Spy images indicate a new bonnet design and DRLs positioned separately, reminiscent of the EV model. While the side profile appears largely unchanged, the rear is anticipated to receive updated tail lamps. The interior is also slated for upgrades, potentially including a larger touchscreen infotainment system and a new steering wheel, alongside other technological enhancements.
The Punch ICE facelift is likely to retain its current 1.2-litre petrol engine. For the electric variant, there's speculation about potential improvements to its driving range. These updates are part of Tata Motors' strategy to maintain the Punch's strong sales performance in the sub-four-metre SUV market.
