Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles has introduced the Tata Osprey SUV to the South African market on Friday, September 4, 2026. This new model, known globally as the Tata Nexon, is being offered through authorized TMPV dealerships in partnership with automotive group Motus Holdings. The Osprey is available in four distinct variants, with pricing set between 249,900 and 329,900 South African rand.
The SUV comes equipped with a host of modern features, including a panoramic sunroof, Bi-LED headlamps, and 16-inch alloy wheels. Inside, occupants will find automatic climate control, wireless charging, and a 26.03-cm digital instrument cluster. Safety is a paramount focus, with the Osprey featuring six airbags, an electronic stability program, a tyre pressure monitoring system, and a 360-degree HD surround-view camera system.
This launch also marks the unveiling of TMPV's new TATA.CARS global brand identity in South Africa, under the promise 'Nothing's Too Far'. This rebranding consolidates Tata's passenger vehicle offerings under a unified brand. The Osprey joins other Tata models in South Africa, such as the Harrier, Curvv, Punch, and Tiago, strengthening the company's presence in the region.
