Inaugurated by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, a new Tata Motors passenger vehicle and Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) manufacturing facility has commenced operations at SIPCOT, Panapakkam, Ranipet. This significant greenfield project represents a substantial investment of Rs 9,000 crore (USD 994 million).
The facility has achieved a key milestone by rolling out its very first Land Rover car. It boasts an impressive annual production capacity of 3 lakh vehicles. This development marks a pivotal moment, ushering in an era of high-end vehicle manufacturing within Tamil Nadu.
