Summary
- Period underwear firm claims activewear brand copied its slogans.
- Activewear brand offered settlement for a disputed slogan.
- Founder seeks accountability, not compensation, from rival brand.

Activewear brand Sweaty Betty is embroiled in a dispute, accused by period underwear company Nixi Body of copying its advertising slogans. Kelly Newton, co-founder of Nixi Body, stated that Sweaty Betty's use of taglines similar to her firm's "seemed a little off," feeling the brand was "taking from" other female founders.
Nixi Body has used "Keeping you moving through menstruation, motherhood and menopause" and "No leaks. No ifs. Just butts" for its period underwear. Sweaty Betty later used "Keeping you moving through menstruation, maternity and menopause" for its femtech range, which has since been updated. Additionally, Sweaty Betty's campaign "No ifs. Just butt." drew parallels to Nixi Body's existing slogans.
The dispute gained prominence after personal trainer Georgina Cox revealed she received a £4,000 settlement offer from Sweaty Betty for a slogan dispute. Newton, inspired by Cox's story, is speaking out not for compensation, but for accountability, asserting that "Your tagline can't be empowering all women when actually all you're doing is taking from them."
