E-commerce logistics provider Stord announced on Tuesday that it has successfully raised $250 million in a funding round, propelling its valuation to $3 billion. This achievement doubles the company's valuation from its previous funding round just one year ago. The new investment was spearheaded by Strike Capital, with significant contributions from Kleiner Perkins, Founders Fund, Franklin Templeton, Baillie Gifford, G Squared, and Bond.
Founded in 2015 by then-college students Sean Henry and Jacob Boudreau at Georgia Tech, Stord experienced rapid growth during the pandemic era, achieving unicorn status in 2021. The company navigated the subsequent venture capital downturn, raising $200 million in 2025 at a $1.5 billion valuation. To date, Stord has raised approximately $775 million.
Stord's offerings include a network of physical warehouses and inventory management software tailored for e-commerce businesses. The company markets itself as a competitor to Amazon, aiming to provide brands with the ability to "compete" on speed while retaining direct customer relationships. The Atlanta-based startup has recently garnered attention for its AI interface, which was highlighted by Google at its Cloud Next conference in April.
