Stellantis has committed an additional Rs 4,000 crore to its Indian operations by 2030, as detailed in its FaSTLAne 2030 strategy. This investment builds upon over Rs 11,000 crore already invested, aiming to enhance India's role in Stellantis' global network. The plan includes the introduction of 12 new products for Jeep and Citroen within three years, with the first launch slated for the second quarter of 2027.
Jeep and Citroen will expand their portfolios to cover multiple segments, from A-segment cars to SUVs, MPVs, and premium pickups. Approximately half of these products will be global models, while the other half will be developed in India. Stellantis is also exploring collaboration with Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles for future product architectures.
The multi-energy strategy will feature a range of powertrains, including internal combustion engines, hybrids, plug-in hybrids, and battery electric vehicles, chosen based on customer needs and market conditions. Stellantis aims for 90% localization across both brands, enhancing cost competitiveness and leveraging India's supplier and engineering capabilities.
India will also serve as an increasingly important export hub for Stellantis. The company plans to expand its sales and service network, focusing on accessibility in Tier-2, Tier-3, and Tier-4 markets. This renewed focus follows a reported 35% business growth for Stellantis India in the second quarter of 2026.
