29 Oct
Summary
- Starz revenue grew to $322.4 million in Q3, driven by OTT streaming.
- The company aims for digital-led transformation with franchise focus.
- Starz reiterated 2026 outlook with a focus on shareholder value.

Starz has reported third-quarter revenues of $322.4 million, marking an increase driven by its strategic pivot towards digital streaming services. Higher over-the-top (OTT) streaming revenues, totaling $226.6 million, effectively offset a decline in linear and other revenue streams, which fell to $95.8 million.
The premium cabler premiered 'Fightland,' its first original series since separating from Lionsgate in May 2025. The company also featured the season two finale of 'Power Book III: Raising Kanan' and 'Outlander: Blood of My Blood,' alongside the August launch of the 'Michael' biopic.
Starz president and CEO Jeffrey Hirsch expressed confidence in the company's performance and its four key financial priorities. The company's programming strategy is designed to build a more durable revenue base and unlock financial upside from increased content ownership.
Financially, Starz reported a narrowed net loss of $34.8 million for the quarter, an improvement from the prior year's $52.6 million net loss. Adjusted OIBDA stood at $44.2 million, with operating results benefiting from reduced programming contract termination fees and content impairment charges.
Looking ahead, Starz anticipates its full-year 2026 cash content spend to remain below $600 million. This financial update follows a recent distribution agreement that restored Starz's channels and app to Verizon Fios after a three-week dispute.
