Stars + Honey, a US-based collagen protein bar brand, has received a $24 million investment from VMG Partners, a private-equity firm. While VMG Partners now holds a minority stake, the company's CEO Daniel Rainey remains the majority shareholder.
The investment is earmarked to accelerate Stars + Honey's omnichannel expansion and foster continued product innovation and brand growth. Currently available online via StarsandHoney.com and Amazon, the brand is preparing for its first retail debut at the end of June 2026.
To accommodate anticipated growth, Stars + Honey will construct a new 60,000 square foot manufacturing facility in Novi, Michigan. Production at this state-of-the-art facility is scheduled to commence in the fourth quarter of 2026, replacing the current Decatur location.
Founded in 2023, Stars + Honey reported 300% growth last year and is targeting approximately $50 million in revenue by 2026. VMG Partners' investment brings McConnell Smith, a VMG general partner, onto Stars + Honey's board of directors.
