The job cuts are reportedly linked to organizational changes in coffeehouse design and development, as well as a broader strategy called "Back to Starbucks." This initiative, launched under CEO Brian Niccol, aims to revitalize the core coffeehouse experience by focusing on personal touches and store redesigns.
These separations represent the coffee giant's eighth layoff in Washington State over the past two years, affecting a significant number of workers. Despite these cuts, Starbucks' Seattle headquarters will remain operational.
