Essar Energy Transition (EET) announced a record-breaking year in 2025 for its Stanlow refinery, reporting its highest-ever domestic sales and a substantial 8% increase in operational throughput. This performance highlights the continued strong demand for refined products and the critical role of domestic refining.
CEO Deepak Maheshwari emphasized the team's dedication during a major turnaround, leading to unprecedented sales figures. EET is investing in Stanlow's long-term sustainability and strongly advocates for the inclusion of refining in the UK's Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) to ensure fair competition.
Beyond refining, EET has bolstered UK fuel security through strategic supply points and an expanding network of 58 branded retail forecourts, directly supplying 10 major airports and over 100 dealer-owned sites. This network proved vital in responding to supply needs following refinery closures.
