3 Aug
Summary
- A new county council-funded bus service will begin trial next month.
- The service will run hourly Monday to Saturday between two towns.
- Passenger numbers will determine the future of this new bus route.

A trial bus service, designated as the 151, is scheduled to commence at the start of next month. This initiative, funded by the county council, will run for a year and aims to connect Stone and Rugeley, along with several intermediate villages. The service will operate on an hourly basis from Monday to Saturday, offering nine journeys in each direction daily.
Key locations along the route include Aston Lodge, Burston, Sandon, Weston, Hixon, Great Haywood, Little Haywood, and Colwich, with Aston Lodge's existing service A being replaced. The authority will closely monitor passenger numbers throughout the trial period, as future plans for the service are contingent on its usage. Timetables will be made available on the council's bus travel webpage starting next Monday.
