Sportradar Group AG (NASDAQ:SRAD) announced its second-quarter 2026 financial results on August 5, 2026, revealing that both earnings and revenue fell short of analyst predictions. The company posted adjusted earnings of €0.00 per share, a notable miss compared to the consensus estimate of €0.06. Quarterly revenue saw a 19% year-over-year increase, reaching €378 million, though this figure was slightly below the anticipated €381.9 million.
Adding to investor concerns, Sportradar revised its full-year 2026 revenue outlook downwards. The company now projects revenue between €1.518 billion and €1.533 billion, with the midpoint of €1.526 billion falling below the market's expectation of €1.56 billion. Despite the softer revenue forecast, Sportradar anticipates adjusted EBITDA on a constant-currency basis to grow between 24% and 27%, ranging from €360 million to €368 million.
The company reported a net loss of €4 million for the quarter, a significant shift from the €49 million net income in the same period last year. This was primarily attributed to unrealized foreign exchange losses totaling €9 million, contrasting with gains of €54 million in the prior year. Nevertheless, adjusted EBITDA increased by 19% year-over-year to €76 million, with a slight improvement in the adjusted EBITDA margin to 20.2%.
CEO Carsten Koerl highlighted the company's strategic progress and its critical role in the global sports ecosystem. The Betting Technology & Solutions segment remained a strong performer, generating €314 million in revenue, up 21% from the previous year, driven largely by a 27% increase in Betting & Gaming Content revenue. The Sports Content, Technology & Services segment also contributed, with revenue growing 9% year-over-year to €64 million.
