A Florida mother, Mary Hubbard, has filed a lawsuit against Campbell's and Walmart, alleging that SpaghettiOs she purchased were contaminated with worms or parasites. The incident reportedly occurred around June 6, 2024, when Hubbard and her daughter, identified as P.L., were eating the pasta at their home in Okeechobee County. According to the complaint, Hubbard observed what appeared to be live organisms moving in the food and captured video evidence.
As a result of consuming the alleged contaminated SpaghettiOs, Hubbard and P.L. claim to have suffered various health issues. Hubbard reported gastrointestinal illness and sepsis, while her daughter experienced nausea and vomiting. The lawsuit further states that P.L.'s father is also a plaintiff in the case, which seeks at least $75,000 in damages for alleged negligence and violations of federal food safety law. Campbell's has declined to comment on the pending litigation, and Walmart has not yet responded.
