Soros Fund Management has established a new stake in Nebius Group, disclosed in its latest portfolio filing. The firm acquired 310,000 Class A shares, valued at approximately $85.6 million at the end of the second quarter.
This investment coincided with Nebius reporting strong financial performance. In Q2, the company generated $582.3 million in revenue, a 454% increase from the previous year and surpassing analyst expectations. This growth is attributed to heightened customer demand for AI computing capacity.
To meet this demand, Nebius plans a substantial capital investment of $20 billion to $25 billion this year. These funds will be allocated to expanding its AI infrastructure footprint, positioning the company within the fast-growing yet capital-intensive AI market.
Nebius operates an AI cloud platform from Amsterdam, supporting training, inference, and enterprise AI workloads. Its business also extends to autonomous driving technology and online education.
