Solana ETFs Outshine Bitcoin in Q3 Growth
4 Oct
Summary
- Solana ETFs saw 42% lifetime inflow growth in Q3.
- Bitcoin ETFs attracted the most money but saw slower growth.
- Solana needs over $680 million in Q4 to sustain its growth.

U.S. spot crypto ETFs experienced substantial investor interest in the third quarter of 2026, drawing in $10.2 billion in net new investments. Bitcoin funds, including offerings like BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF, captured the largest share with $6.3 billion in inflows. However, Solana funds emerged as the standout performers in terms of growth rate.
Solana ETFs achieved a remarkable 42% increase in lifetime inflows during the third quarter, significantly outpacing Bitcoin's 12% growth. This rapid expansion occurred despite Solana funds attracting only $480 million, compared to Bitcoin's much larger investment. This divergence in metrics—total dollars versus growth rate—offers two distinct perspectives on investor demand.
Ethereum funds also showed robust performance, securing second place in both dollar inflows ($3.1 billion) and growth rate (28%). XRP funds, with a similar asset base to Solana, attracted substantially less in inflows, underscoring Solana's stronger momentum. Solana's performance relative to its assets, with inflows equaling 25% of its assets, further signals growing investor enthusiasm.
