Run collaboratively by Crossways Community Church, the Healthy Living Centre, and Dartford Borough Council, the Larder aims to provide dignity to its users. Pastor Stephen Brindley highlighted that the supermarket model successfully overcomes the stigma often associated with food banks, as its appearance and operation mimic a conventional store.
Since its inception, the Dartford Larder has distributed more than 75,000 items. Organizers express passion and a heartfelt commitment to their mission, noting the profoundly positive impact the project has had on the community.
