- The project aims to provide joined-up mental health and addiction support.

Three Shropshire-based charities are uniting to enhance support for homeless and vulnerable individuals through a new project called Partners for Change. Shrewsbury Ark, KiP, and Stay have secured National Lottery funding to deliver expanded services across the county. This collaboration will introduce a dedicated wellbeing support worker and an alcohol and harm reduction support worker.
Furthermore, an enhanced day centre in Wellington will provide essential facilities, including food, showers, and laundry services. The project is funded for three years, with services commencing on September 1. Intensive support workers will also assist individuals in maintaining their accommodation after being housed.
The charities will focus on delivering integrated support for mental health, neurodiversity, and alcohol and drug harm reduction. This joined-up approach aims to ensure continuity of care, assisting people in rebuilding stability, confidence, and readiness for tenancy, ultimately promoting long-term independence. The project also seeks to address the challenge of tracking individuals after they leave support services.
