Indian Railways is promoting spiritual tourism with the launch of a 17-day Shri Ramayana Yatra. This immersive tour is designed to cover significant sites related to Lord Rama's life across India and Nepal, commencing on March 30.
The pilgrimage will be conducted aboard the Bharat Gaurav Deluxe AC tourist train, ensuring a blend of devotion and luxury. This state-of-the-art train is equipped with modern amenities, including various classes of accommodation, restaurants, and enhanced security features.
The 16-night/17-day journey will commence from Delhi's Safdarjung Railway Station. Key destinations include Ayodhya, Nandigram, Sitamarhi (with a road trip to Janakpur, Nepal), Buxar, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Shringverpur, Chitrakoot, Nashik, Hampi, and Rameshwaram.
This extensive tour spans approximately 7,560 km, returning to Delhi on the 17th day. The package prices vary by accommodation class, starting from Rs 111,630 for triple occupancy up to Rs 164,940 for First AC, and include train travel, hotel stays, meals, sightseeing, and travel insurance for 150 passengers.
