Plans for a new 73-bed care home in Shepshed are currently under public consultation. Crown Care Group has submitted proposals to Charnwood Borough Council to demolish the existing 31-bed Westroyd House Care Home, located off Tickow Lane, and replace it with a modern facility.
Architects for the project stated the current accommodation is outdated and that the new home would significantly improve care standards. There is identified demand for additional care services within the town.
The development also includes provisions for 23 new parking spaces, with two designated for disabled users. The consultation phase for these plans will conclude on April 23.
