Shakti Pumps (India) has announced a significant investment of Rs 10 crore into its wholly owned subsidiary, Shakti Energy Solutions (SESL). This capital infusion is earmarked for establishing a new solar cell and module manufacturing plant. The facility will be located in Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh, a region selected for its industrial significance.
The subsidiary plans to set up a greenfield manufacturing plant for high-efficiency Solar DCR cells and Solar PV modules. This ambitious project aims for a substantial production capacity of 2.2 GW, positioning SESL as a major player in the renewable energy sector.
This expansion comes as the parent company, Shakti Pumps (India), reported mixed financial results. For the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2026, its consolidated net profit saw a decline of 65.2% compared to the previous year. However, revenue from operations demonstrated robust growth, jumping 28.9% year-on-year to Rs 857.77 crore for the quarter ended March 2026.
