Summary

- Two new Shake Shack restaurants are planned for the Louisville area.
- The first location is under construction at Oxmoor Center.

After a nine-year wait, Shake Shack is finally set to open its doors in Louisville, with two locations anticipated for the Derby City area. The New York-founded fast-casual burger chain will make its debut in 2026 at Oxmoor Center, located at 7900 Shelbyville Road. This highly anticipated opening comes after Shake Shack first established its presence in Kentucky in 2017 with a Lexington location.
A second Shake Shack restaurant, featuring a drive-thru, is planned for Jeffersonville Town Center in Jeffersonville, Indiana. Paige Moreau, general manager of Oxmoor Center, expressed excitement about the new addition, highlighting it as a testament to the mall's appeal for major retailers and dining establishments. The Oxmoor Center location is currently under construction and will be situated next to Shady Rays, facing Shelbyville Road.
Shake Shack is renowned for its high-quality, made-to-order American classics, including 100% Angus beef burgers, crispy chicken, hand-spun milkshakes, and house-made lemonades. While specific opening dates for both Louisville-area locations have not yet been announced, the progress at Oxmoor Center indicates an imminent arrival, promising to satisfy the long-standing demand for the popular chain.
