Serve Robotics has announced a new partnership with Grubhub to utilize its sidewalk delivery robots for fulfilling orders on the food delivery platform. This collaboration is set to commence in Chicago, Los Angeles, and Alexandria.
The agreement with Grubhub begins as Serve Robotics' alliance with Uber Eats is slated to conclude early in 2027. Serve Robotics indicated that declining order volumes and differing strategic views influenced their decision not to renew the Uber agreement.
Serve Robotics is also expanding its services with DoorDash, launching in San Jose, California, and Washington, D.C. Additionally, the company is implementing "micro depots" in Miami to optimize robot stationing, charging, dispatch, and maintenance, aiming to reduce costs and accelerate market entry.
Furthermore, Serve Robotics is advancing its presence in the healthcare sector with the next generation of its Moxi hospital robots, following its acquisition of Diligent Robotics earlier this year. This strategic move diversifies revenue streams by tapping into healthcare automation.
