RMC Switchgears has announced the securing of multiple letters of acceptance (LoAs) from Paschim Gujarat Vij Company (PGVCL). These agreements are for turnkey underground cabling projects valued at Rs 335.80 crore.
The scope of these projects includes comprehensive site survey, design, engineering, and installation for converting existing 11 kV overhead power lines into underground cable networks. This initiative will also incorporate Ring Main Systems and GIS/Geo Urja mapping under the System Improvement (SI) Scheme.
These contracts cover various packages across Bhavnagar, Anjar, Jamnagar, and Junagadh circles in Gujarat. The execution period for each project is expected to be between 12 and 18 months from the commencement date, following a 45-day mobilization period.
PGVCL, a domestic entity, awarded these contracts on a turnkey basis. The company confirmed that the promoter, promoter group, and associated companies have no stake in PGVCL, ensuring these are not related-party transactions.
