Renault is set to reintroduce the Duster in India with its third-generation model, launching on March 17, 2026. This comeback follows its discontinuation in 2022 and is a strategic move to strengthen Renault's position in the competitive midsize SUV market. Display units have reached dealerships, signaling an imminent market entry.
The new Duster will offer buyers a choice of powertrains. The range-topping option is a 1.8-litre petrol hybrid (E-Tech 160) producing 160 bhp. Additionally, a 1.3-litre turbo-petrol (Turbo TCe 160) delivering 163 bhp will be available with manual and dual-clutch transmissions, alongside a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol (TCe 100) with 100 bhp, exclusively in a manual setup.
Inside, the India-spec Duster boasts a modern interior featuring a three-spoke steering wheel, a dual-screen dashboard, ambient lighting, and Type-C ports. Key features include a 10.1-inch infotainment screen with wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, a 10.25-inch digital driver display, a panoramic sunroof, and advanced safety aids like Level 2 ADAS.
Pre-bookings for the Duster are open, with official pricing to be revealed in mid-March. Deliveries for the turbo-petrol variants are scheduled to begin soon after the launch, while hybrid models are anticipated closer to Diwali 2026. Renault aims for the new Duster to reclaim its status as a strong contender in the Indian SUV landscape.
