RedotPay IPO Delayed Amid Binance Lawsuit
15 Aug
Summary
- RedotPay's $1 billion IPO is delayed due to legal issues.
- A $470 million lawsuit was filed by Binance against RedotPay.
- The IPO is now unlikely to happen before 2027.

RedotPay, a stablecoin payments firm, has postponed its planned $1 billion U.S. initial public offering (IPO). This delay, attributed to legal complications, means the IPO is unlikely to occur before 2027. The company had recently secured a U.S. money transmitter license, signaling its intent to expand its market presence.
Central to the delay is a $470 million lawsuit initiated by crypto exchange Binance. Binance alleges that RedotPay misused an arrangement where Binance users could convert crypto to fiat via RedotPay, claiming RedotPay poached approximately 470,000 users. RedotPay denies these accusations but reportedly seeks resolution before proceeding with its public offering.
Despite these legal battles, RedotPay claims to serve 8.5 million users and generate $180 million in annual revenue. The company had been working with financial institutions JPMorgan Chase and Goldman Sachs on its IPO preparations.
