Summary
- Rashida Jones appointed CEO of Piers Morgan's Uncensored.
- Uncensored secured $30 million in funding at $130M valuation.
- Jones will expand Uncensored into a creator-first content brand.

Rashida Jones, formerly the president of MSNBC, has taken on the role of CEO for Piers Morgan's Uncensored. This appointment was announced on Monday, alongside news of a significant funding round.
Uncensored successfully raised roughly $30 million, achieving a $130 million valuation. Investors in this round included Raine Ventures, the Antenna Group, and British businessmen David and Simon Reuben. Joe Ravitch, a co-founder of Raine Group, is set to join the Uncensored board.
Jones's primary objective will be to evolve Uncensored into a creator-first brand by introducing new content categories. Her extensive experience at MSNBC, where she led the network from 2021 to early 2025 and expanded its streaming presence, positions her well for this expansion. Following her departure from MSNBC, Jones founded the advisory firm Imagine Strategies and became a fellow at Arizona State University's Knight Center for the Future of News.
This strategic expansion follows Morgan's earlier plans to broaden his YouTube channel beyond his talk show, with ambitions to cover areas like sports, true crime, and the British Royal Family. The company already launched "History Uncensored" in December, hosted by Bianca Nobilo.
