Ranchi Airport Soars: Rs 87.56 Cr Profit

Ranchi's Birsa Munda Airport has reported a substantial net profit of Rs 87.56 crore for the 2025-26 financial year, marking a significant financial achievement. This figure represents a notable increase from previous years, showcasing continuous operational efficiency and revenue generation. The airport also experienced a dramatic rise in passenger traffic, handling approximately 27 lakh passengers in the same fiscal year.

This impressive growth in both profit and passenger numbers directly reflects the economic progress and enhanced air connectivity within Jharkhand. The airport's director highlighted that these advancements symbolize flourishing economic activities, trade, tourism, and improved accessibility in the region. Several key development projects have been completed, including a new air traffic control tower, advanced navigation systems, and expanded passenger facilities.

These infrastructural enhancements have considerably strengthened the airport's capacity, safety, and overall operational efficiency. Looking ahead, the airport is set to organize 'Yatri Suvidha Divas' on June 15, featuring programs focused on passenger convenience, public awareness, social responsibility, and environmental conservation. The event will also include cultural showcases of Jharkhand's heritage and health check-up camps.
