Rajasthan Govt Gifts Diwali Bonus to 6 Lakh Employees

On October 14, 2025, the Rajasthan Chief Minister, Bhajanlal Sharma, announced a special Diwali gift for around 6 lakh state government employees. The Chief Minister stated that the ad hoc bonus will be extended to those working at pay level L-12 or with a grade pay of ₹4,800 or less, with each eligible employee receiving a maximum of ₹6,774.
In a social media post, the Chief Minister expressed that the government, dedicated to good governance, has made this announcement on the auspicious occasion of Diwali. The bonus will also benefit employees of Panchayat Samiti and District Council.
Separately, the Chief Minister inspected preparations in Jaipur ahead of Union Home Minister Amit Shah's visit to attend the inauguration of an exhibition on India's new criminal laws. The exhibition, running from October 13 to 18, 2025, marks one year since the implementation of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam. The DGP of Rajasthan urged the public to visit the exhibition to learn about these new laws, which were conceptualized with the vision of reforming the judicial system.
