The Rajasthan government has unveiled the Rajasthan Film Tourism Promotion Policy 2025, a strategic move to establish the state as a leading destination for film production. This comprehensive policy offers a substantial subsidy of up to 30% on various production expenses for feature films, web series, TV serials, and documentaries.
The policy introduces specific subsidy caps, with feature films eligible for up to Rs 3 crore, web series up to Rs 2 crore, TV serials up to Rs 1.5 crore, and documentaries up to Rs 2 crore. To ensure genuine investment, a minimum expenditure threshold is set at Rs 2 crore for feature films and Rs 1 crore for other categories, including Rajasthani language films.
Beyond production incentives, the policy includes a scholarship program for Rajasthan residents pursuing film education, covering tuition fees and providing stipends. This initiative is expected to foster local talent development while simultaneously positioning Rajasthan as a vibrant hub for the entertainment industry, driving employment and economic growth.
