The Instamart 2025 order report showcases a dynamic Indian quick commerce market, highlighting a wide spectrum of consumer spending. The platform facilitated purchases ranging from essential daily items to high-value luxury goods. One user in Mumbai bought gold valued at Rs 15.16 lakh, while another in Chennai spent over Rs 1 lakh on condoms.
Significant growth was observed in Tier-II cities, with Rajkot leading a tenfold increase in order volumes. Ludhiana and Bhubaneswar also reported substantial order surges. Despite these high-value transactions, staples like curry leaves, dahi, eggs, milk, and bananas continued to be the most frequently reordered items nationwide.
Ordering patterns indicated peak activity between 7-11 am and 4-7 pm. Mondays emerged as the preferred day for sending gifts. While the quick commerce segment drives innovation, Swiggy reported a widening net loss of Rs 1,092 crore for the September 2025 quarter, attributed to this segment and increased marketing expenses.
