Additionally, a daily fine of QR200 applies for overstaying visitation visas, highlighting the importance of verifying visa and stay durations. Travelers are encouraged to use the Metrash mobile application to check for outstanding fines or obligations before departing.
New regulations also impact newborns, requiring them to obtain residency documents and be registered with passport authorities. Children born in Qatar must secure a residency permit under the father's sponsorship before leaving the country, as they will not be permitted to re-enter without it. Travelers are also urged to utilize the electronic gate system at Hamad International Airport to expedite immigration processes.
