Qatar Airways will recommence its service to Auckland, New Zealand, from its Doha hub starting June 16. The initial phase of this resumption, running until September 14, will operate daily. This new route includes a mandatory 90-minute stopover at Adelaide Airport in Australia, making the total travel time around 20 hours.
The one-stop service, QR914, departs Doha at 8:00 PM and arrives in Adelaide the following day at 3:30 PM. After the layover, it continues to Auckland, landing at 11:30 PM. The return flight, QR915, leaves Auckland at 5:45 PM, reaches Adelaide at 8:30 PM, and then departs for Doha after a 90-minute stop, arriving in Doha at 5:00 AM the next day.
This modified schedule is part of Qatar Airways' expanded summer offerings, providing more travel flexibility. The airline previously operated nonstop flights to Auckland, using aircraft like the Airbus A350-1000 and Boeing 777-200LR. These flights were suspended due to regional conflict.
Schedule data indicates that Qatar Airways is tentatively planning to reintroduce its nonstop Doha-Auckland flights from mid-September 2026, likely utilizing the Boeing 777-200LR. The one-stop service will deploy a Boeing 777-300ER, configured with 42 QSuites in business class and 312 economy seats.
