PNG Gas Connections Now Just 5 Days Away!
24 Mar
Summary
- Residential schools and hostels to get PNG connections swiftly.
- PNGRB mandates a five-day timeline for essential institution connections.
- Government assures sufficient petrol, diesel, and LPG stocks.

City Gas Distribution (CGD) entities are now required to supply PNG connections to residential schools, colleges, hostels, community kitchens, and Anganwadi kitchens within a swift five-day period, according to a directive from the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB). This order aims to significantly shorten the application-to-supply timeline for these essential institutions.
The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has confirmed that this accelerated process will be implemented wherever pipeline infrastructure is readily available nearby. This initiative is part of broader efforts to ensure timely access to essential services.
Furthermore, the government has reassured the public regarding the availability of fuel. There are sufficient stocks of petrol and diesel across the nation, and domestic LPG production has been stepped up by refineries. Citizens are urged not to resort to panic buying, as fuel stations are adequately supplied.
