Punjab National Bank is significantly advancing its digital capabilities, aiming to disburse MSME loans of up to ₹25 lakh in a remarkable 30-35 minutes. This digital initiative, available both online and at branches, caters to both new entrepreneurs and existing clients, with all documentation handled digitally. Currently, one in every three loans is disbursed through digital channels.
The bank is also enhancing customer service and branch experience. A new QR code-based feedback system has been deployed across all 10,228 branches, allowing for real-time customer input that will influence employee performance. Furthermore, PNB is undertaking a nationwide branch revamp, expected to be completed by June 30, blending traditional banking credibility with modern technology.
PNB plans to expand its specialized start-up branches, modeled after its New Delhi branch, with 10-12 new locations opening across the country, including two in Kerala. These branches will offer financial and advisory support to start-ups. In Kerala specifically, PNB targets 20% business growth this fiscal, aiming for a ₹25,000 crore business volume.
