Paramount Appoints Lionsgate Veteran Shaun Barber as Head of Domestic Theatrical Distribution

In a significant move, Paramount Pictures has appointed Shaun Barber as the new head of domestic theatrical distribution. Barber, who previously served as the co-president of worldwide theatrical distribution at Lionsgate, will now be responsible for overseeing the studio's North American distribution strategy and operations.

Barber's appointment comes as Paramount undergoes a leadership shakeup, with veteran executive Chris Aronson exiting his role on December 1st. Barber will work closely with the studio's international theatrical distribution chief, Mark Viane, and will report directly to Josh Goldstine, Paramount's newly appointed president of global marketing and distribution.

Goldstine praised Barber, describing him as a "deeply respected leader" with extensive expertise in domestic distribution strategy. Barber's extensive experience in the industry, having worked on blockbuster franchises like "John Wick," "The Hunger Games," and "Twilight" during his 18-year tenure at Lionsgate and Summit Entertainment, is expected to be a valuable asset as Paramount navigates the evolving landscape of theatrical distribution.
