Palantir Wins Order to Block Ex-Staffer's Rival
19 Feb
Summary
- Judge blocked former Palantir employee from soliciting staff.
- Lawsuit claims rival AI firm used Palantir's secret information.
- Rival firm Percepta AI hired at least 10 ex-Palantir employees.

A Manhattan federal judge has granted Palantir Technologies' request to prevent a former vice president and senior engineer from recruiting Palantir employees for their new venture, Percepta AI. This preliminary injunction is in effect while Palantir's lawsuit proceeds. Palantir claims Percepta AI, launched last year, used proprietary information to create a competing AI software firm. The judge also prohibited a former Palantir engineer, Joanna Cohen, from violating her confidentiality agreement. However, Palantir's requests to stop defendants from breaching non-compete and customer solicitation agreements were not immediately granted.
