The agreement includes a dedicated annex on health-related and traditional medicine services, fostering cooperation in areas like licensing, digital examinations, medical value travel, and standard harmonization. Oman's commitment is noted as the most comprehensive by any country, creating substantial opportunities for India's wellness and Ayush sectors.
This development complements the Ministry of Ayush's ongoing global promotion initiatives. Supported by a central sector scheme, these efforts aim to boost exports and international recognition for Indian traditional medicine systems. India's Ayush exports have demonstrated robust growth, rising from USD 1.09 billion in 2014 to USD 1.54 billion in 2020.
