Oman Airport Restricts Private Jets Amid Regional Airspace Closures

Muscat International Airport has implemented restrictions on private jet operations, asking operators to avoid using the facility. This directive prioritizes government and commercial flights, a measure taken in response to the ongoing crisis management and fresh airspace closures affecting the region's travel sector.

The airport authorities communicated that flight movements are now restricted to approved seasonal scheduled services. This critical step was deemed necessary to effectively manage airport congestion and ensure operational capacity remains within acceptable parameters.

Airlines and operators have been instructed to cancel any slots outside the approved schedule and cease submitting new non-approved flight requests. Embassy-sponsored repatriation flights are the sole exception, requiring prior diplomatic approval and prohibiting commercial ticket sales.
