Summary
- Oklo and Meta partner for 1.2 GW nuclear power campus in Ohio.
- Meta will provide funding and prepay for electricity from Oklo.
- First phase of the Ohio facility expected online by 2030.

Oklo Inc. has entered into a strategic partnership with Meta Platforms, Inc. to develop a substantial 1.2-gigawatt nuclear power campus situated in Pike County, Ohio. This initiative is designed to meet the growing energy demands of Meta's regional data center operations, emphasizing clean and reliable power generation.
The agreement facilitates Meta's prepayments for electricity and provides crucial funding to advance Oklo's Aurora powerhouse project. This financial support will be instrumental in acquiring nuclear fuel and progressing the initial development phase in Pike County, a site acquired from the Department of Energy. Pre-construction activities are set to commence in 2026.
The initial phase of the power campus is anticipated to become operational by 2030, with the full 1.2 GW capacity scheduled for completion by 2034. This project signifies a novel approach where large energy consumers fund their own generation capacity, contributing clean power to the broader grid.
