Odisha's industrial landscape is poised for significant expansion following the approval of 24 investment proposals valued at ₹3,793.33 crore. These initiatives, cleared by the State Level Single Window Clearance Authority, are anticipated to generate close to 20,000 employment opportunities across 14 districts.
The textiles and apparel sector has emerged as the primary driver of job creation. Nandraj Textiles Pvt Ltd's apparel manufacturing unit in Khurda stands out, proposing an investment of ₹168.64 crore and the creation of over 10,000 jobs.
Beyond textiles, clean energy and advanced manufacturing also received substantial backing. CESC Green Power Ltd plans a Battery Energy Storage System manufacturing facility in Dhenkanal with a ₹683.83 crore investment. Additionally, AVP Star Pvt Ltd will establish a lab-grown diamond facility in Khurda, marking Odisha's entry into this burgeoning high-tech market.
Other notable approvals include Lithros Batteries India Pvt Ltd's ₹60-crore EV and battery manufacturing project, JSW Severfield Structures Ltd's steel fabrication unit in Jajpur, and expansions in ceramics and consumer products. Tourism and logistics also received a boost, with projects approved across several districts, promoting geographically dispersed industrial development.
