North India's Solar Glass Future Ignites!

North India's first dedicated solar glass manufacturing facility, operated by Emerge Renewables, has successfully lit up its furnaces in Rajasthan. This significant milestone reinforces India's commitment to self-reliance in renewable energy generation.

The state-of-the-art plant, located in the Keshwana Industrial Area, Kotputli-Behror, has a manufacturing capacity of 300 Tonnes Per Day, equating to 2.5 GW per annum. It is designed to produce high-performance solar glass in thicknesses ranging from 1.80 mm to 5.00 mm, crucial for the rapidly growing solar industry.

This new facility is poised to enhance the efficiency and profitability of solar panel manufacturers by reducing lead times and improving customer service due to its proximity in North India's renewable energy value chain. The project was launched in record time and is expected to be sold out due to a supply deficit in the region.

Emerge Renewables is backed by the Alstone Group's 22-year legacy and Emerge Glass's 14 years of experience. This new plant is a step towards creating a diversified glass company in India, with plans for further expansion into cosmetic packaging and a new facility in Andhra Pradesh.

The furnace light-up ceremony symbolized the start of a new chapter in India's renewable manufacturing journey, attended by company leadership, industry partners, and distinguished guests. Management expressed commitment to supporting India's clean energy ambitions and strengthening the renewable ecosystem.
