Nooks, a sales automation startup leveraging artificial intelligence, announced a significant financial milestone on Wednesday. The company secured a $500 million commitment from General Catalyst's Customer Value Fund, specifically earmarked for advancing its sales and marketing initiatives. This funding approach is distinguished by its focus on a share of returns generated by the capital, rather than a traditional equity stake.
CEO Dan Lee emphasized that this capital infusion is crucial for scaling operations and launching new products, underpinning Nooks' ambition to reshape the sales profession with AI. The company projects nearly tripling its annual recurring revenue by the close of 2026. Nooks currently boasts over 2,000 customers, including notable names like Notion and HubSpot, and reports a net revenue retention rate of 135%.
On Wednesday, Nooks also formally launched its Revenue Agent Platform, designed to manage the entire customer lifecycle from initial contact through renewal. Pranav Singhvi of General Catalyst highlighted the platform's predictable revenue engine and strong unit economics as key factors in their investment decision.
