This commitment has now materialized into a substantial investment. Nokia's initial phase of investment has been elevated to ₹270 crore, surpassing the original ₹220 crore projection. A second phase is anticipated to bring an additional ₹300 crore investment.
This development is expected to generate over 200 high-end employment opportunities within Tamil Nadu. The Siruseri center will house Nokia's most extensive fixed network R&D laboratory globally, focusing on developing next-generation fixed broadband technologies. This strategic move reinforces Tamil Nadu's status as a preferred destination for deep-tech and engineering endeavors worldwide.
