- Tiers will feature separate access controls for enhanced passenger experience.
- Purple tier promises premium dining, cocktails, and Michelin-star quality meals.

Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) is poised to redefine airport lounge experiences with its scheduled December 25th opening. Jeet Adani, Director of Adani Airports, highlighted a strategy to tackle the pervasive issue of airport overcrowding and the erosion of exclusivity in lounge access.
NMIA will introduce a novel three-tiered lounge system: Silver, Gold, and Purple. These tiers are designed with distinct access controls, ensuring passengers experience a level of service that matches their travel class. The Silver tier offers essential amenities, while Gold is intended for business-class travelers, and Purple represents the pinnacle of luxury.
The Purple tier is being positioned as an ultra-premium offering, featuring amenities like cocktails and Michelin-star-worthy cuisine served restaurant-style, a departure from traditional buffets. This tiered approach, emphasizing differentiated experiences and pricing, aims to provide true value and exclusivity for travelers at NMIA.
